Lipstick Haul

Here is another great find at Ross. I really like posting things like these because its always cool to snag awesome stuff at a discounted price. I do buy highend or brandname cosmetics but I prefer to post random but cool things like these. Anyway, I was able to find these gorgeous lipsticks at my local Ross. The brand is called ELLE (LDL).

Photobucket
It came in a clear plastic box with 9 lipsticks

Photobucket
It came in 4 different finishes. Satin, Ultra Shiny, Shiny and Sheer. The texture is smooth and the colors are very pretty! It may look too dark in the tube but most of them are sheer. A small downside is that they are not long lasting and some of them are so sheer that it looks like lipgloss on the lips. But its buildable though. Also, the lipsticks were labeled in numbers. It would have been cool if they all have names :p

The best part is that all of these were only $4.99 ^_^
I dont know if they still have these at your local Ross, but you can sure check and see. Have a great one ladies :)

Contest Entry: "Summer Makeup look" by Sassy

http://sassyjadore.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-first-contest-giveaway-100-followers.html

Sassy is holding a contest to do a summer makeup or summer outfit or both. She just hit 100 followers and growing whooo hooo. What a brilliant idea of a contest because summer is already here. Anyway here it is...

My inspiration

<span class=

My take on a summer look. I don't like too much going on my face during the summer especially when I'm going to be outside in the hot sun. I used neutral colors for the eyes with slight shimmer on the lids and a pop of purple on the lower and upper lash line to make it fun. I used a light application of concealer under my eyes and topped it with Mac's Mineralized Skin Finish in Medium Deep. I used a little bronzer on the cheeks and a pink lip gloss on the lips and that's it! Very simple, easy yet its pretty :)

Contest Entry : Whit's GOLD DIGGA look

http://whitzmakeuptipz.blogspot.com/2009/06/gold-digga-rules-must-be-follower-must.html

I was worried for a bit because I did not do a gold makeup. I had to wait for Whit's approval before I posted this look. I'm glad I got to do this on time. I promised myself to do this contest for I missed Whit's Spice Girls contest last time. I had sooo much fun doing this. I thought It was such a cool theme. You can interpret gold digger in your own way/style, bling and makeup Align CenterAnyway, here she is....

"The Sophisticated Gold Digga"

Photobucket

A gold digger is generally attractive person who seeks out relationships with sugar mommas or sugar daddy for monetary gain. A gold digger can be a female or male. It is often a mutually opportunistic relationship: the rich person gets companionship and the GD gets money.

FOTN and Night Out with the 09' graduates of UCR

I do not know what to call the FOTN I did. Any suggestions on what should I call it? It looks kind of Vamp, but I dont know lol. I went to my friends' graduation celebration at Vanguard, Hollywood on Saturday night. They just graduated from college and, I just had to join the celebration. I had a blast dancing and laughing with them.

FOTN what should I call it?

The eyes were simple and slightly smokey. I used Sketch e/s by Mac. Its dark plum color. I used it on top of a smudge black eye liner and on the crease. I didn't use anything on the lids. Also, I used a red wine colored lipstick.

Oh and do you remember this dude?? He was the guy from O-Town. I think it was back in 2000 or 2001 when MTV created a reality show called "Making the Band". (correct me if I'm wrong) He was one of them. It was so funny because people were still recognizing him. Also, we couldn't think of a song that they did. I just had to take a picture though. I think he was a club promoter or something like that. He was really nice.

Everyone was at Imats except for me because...

While everyone was at Imats, I was in Riverside, Ca hanging out with my dorm/college roommate Kris. We live very far away from each other and, we haven't seen each other for over 2 years since we graduated. She still hasn't changed. She was still the sweet and bubbly Kris that I used to know. I had so much fun hanging out with her.

Then we went to the mall and this lady trapped us into trying the fancy bump it as i call it. She was very persistent and kind of annoying ha! We spent 20 minutes with her ugh.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Its soo cute right? But we didnt buy it though. It was 20 bucks a piece or 2 for 30 bucks.

Then we spent most of our time playing with makeup at the biggest Mac counter at Macys that Ive ever seen. It was beautiful. They had atleast 17 makeup artist working on people's faces and helping other people. Also, they were so friendly like wow!
So I hope everyone had a great weekend. There is still next year for Imats :)

EOTD using Revlon's quad in Berry Bloom

I really like the Revlon's Color Stay quad in Berry Bloom. I won this quad from Rai's contest. Ive never tried any eye shadows from Revlon and I'm pretty pleased with it. Its perfect for everyday use, especially to work because the colors are very subtle and its stays put. I actually wore this to work today and it was so simple and pretty.

So here was the look i did. I used sponge applicators to apply the eye shadows. I often see them in makeup palettes so might as well try them. On the other hand, I found it very difficult to use. I found it only good for patting the eyeshadow on the lids, but other than that eh.... But I'm pretty sure there are many girls out there who knows how to use sponge applicators. Although the blending is a little bad, I think It turned out okay. I don't think I will ever use sponge applicators again lol.
