Its like MAC's Fix+ but better...

I love, love, love Mac's fix+. Its a must in my makeup routine. It feels and smells good. I spray it on my face before and after I put my makeup. Also, I use it as a refresher when its too hot outside just to keep my face feeling cool and moisturize. On the other hand, I recently discovered Mark's Mist Opportunity, which is a multi tasking refresher and, I must say that fix+ has found its competition.
Mac's FIX+
Photobucket
An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. Adds radiance, finishes makeup. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up! (source: Mac website)

  • can be used before makeup application.

  • can be used to set your makeup.

  • it smells really nice.

  • can be used for foiling eye shadows.

  • gets rid of powdery or cakey look on the face.

  • can be used anytime of the day to refresh your face.

  • 100 ml/3.4 US fl oz

  • price: $18.00

Mark's MIST OPPORTUNITY
Photobucket
A multi-tasking refresher. A light weight facial mist that refreshes the skin, minimize pores and sets makeup in place. Its for all skin types. This clear, alcohol-free mist contains uplifting plant extracts that replenish skin with important nutrients. Lemongrass and grapefruit extracts cleanse. Kiwi extract's antioxidants help protect the skin against environmental pollutants. (source: Mark's skincare brochure)

  • can be used after cleansing or anytime face could use a quick pick-me-up.

  • can be used on face after applying makeup to help your look stay in place.

  • gets rid of pwdery or cakey look on the face.

  • can be used foiling eye shadows

  • smells like baby powder in my opinion instead of the fruit extracts. i was hoping for a more stronger scent of the fruit extracts (i have a weird nose).

  • 200 ml/6.7 fl oz.

  • price: $8.00

Photobucket
I honestly like both of them and I find myself alternating between the two. As you can see they're practically the same in terms of their purpose. They both smells and feels good. The only difference I found was their scent, size and price. Mac's Fix+ has a stronger scent, more expensive and has less product than the Mark's Mist Opportinity.
Fix+ is $18.00
100 ml/3.4 fl oz
Mist Opportunity is $8.00
200ml/6.7 fl oz

FOTN: Makeup Rule Violated. (dramatic eyes and bold lips

They always say never do dramatic eyes with bold lips. Either do one or the other to create balance. For example, if you're doing dark eye makeup, it's best to pair it with nude lips or if doing light eye makeup, try bold lips for a pop of attitude. This is a common makeup rule which I happily violated ^_^
I did a slight dramatic eyes with bold red lips just because I want to!!!! Its worth the risk and the outcome in my opinion is pretty! Feel free to criticize :)

I'm using my mom's Sony Cybershot camera and, I must say that its better than my Canon one. The photos came out crisp and saturated.

FOTN: Black and Blue eyes with Pink lips ^_^

I'm so excited! I was cleaning my stuff earlier and I found one of my old lipstick. Its a bright pink from Neutrogena. It was my first drugstore lipstick purchase. I lost it a long time ago, and I'm so happy its in my makeup stash again ^_^ I had to use it of course and give it some love right away.
I did a Black and Blue look paired with Pink lips

A Pretty Close Dupe for NARS Orgasm blush

Who doesnt know about the famous NARS blush in Orgasm? Its name makes a lot of people uneasy lol.
Its either you will love this blush or you won't. It is a pigmented peachy pink blush with lots of gold shimmer. You have to be careful when applying this blush. Make sure you don't dip your brush too much. When applied on the cheeks, the shimmer turns to a pretty gold sheen. Its just so pretty. Obviously, this is not your everyday blush.
It retails for $25.00 with tax, its almost $30.00. If you are a makeup lover then you would call this an investment ^_^
I be purchased at any Sephora stores or http://www.sephora.com/

The possible DUPE. Mark's Good Glowing blush in After Glow.

Photobucket

It is a peachy pink blush with gold shimmers too. It looks more peachy pink in the pan, but when swatched, Its looks more of a bright baby pink. Its pigmented as well so a little goes a long way. It also gives a nice gold sheen when applied on the cheeks. On the other hand, its a bit powdery but nothing too crazy. Just tap off the excess on your brush :)
This retails for $6.00 by itself. You will have to buy a separate case for $4.00
can be purchased at my E-botique http://rceleste.mymarkstore.com/
with flash. You can really see the gold shimmers or reflects.

Swatches!!! I did my very best to show you how they would look on the skin. I had to take a bunch of photos and I picked the best one. They are swatched heavily with concealer underneath.

Both in their packaging.

If you dont like shimmers then these blushes are not for you. On the other hand, these are very awesome blushes. After glow is not an exact dupe for Orgasm but its a very close one. After Glow is more brighter pink than Orgasm. Also, Orgasm has more gold shimmers in it.
I like both of them. You cant go wrong with either one. If you care about the price then go for Mark's After Glow ^_^
remember Mark's After Glow can be purchased at my E-botique http://rceleste.mymarkstore.com/

Words are not enough to describe how delicious these beautiful creations. I would buy these once in awhile at my local Korean Grocery store where they make it fresh. The baked mussels are topped with mayonnase and sugar and baked in the oven, then topped with fish eggs and green onions. Yeah thats a lot of mayonnaise but I love it! ^_^

I know its random but I thought Id share it :)

The BEST HAUL Ever!!!

It really is!!! Im so excited about this post. I went to my local 99 cents store and, I found a tray full of Revlon Products by the produce section, RANDOM! They were the ones I just saw at my local Walgreens (drugstore) about two months ago. They used to retail for about $9.99 or a little less or you get them buy one get one free if they have BOGO sale. Now, they're at the 99 cents store for a DOLLAR!!
OMG. I was so freaking excited. They had blushes, single eye shadows and ect. I purchased everything that werent broken or damaged. ^_^
Photobucket
I got a lot because Im going to give some of them to my friends in the Philippines when I go for a vacation ^_^
Sheer Powder Blushes!!
Photobucket
Pinking of You
The name says it. Its really pink. This is great for light or pale skin tone. Just add on the cheeks for a natural flush.
Photobucket
Hushed Blush
This is quiet sheer and shimmery but not too much. I like how you can use the light part as a high lighter or mix them all together as a blush.
Photobucket
Peachy Keen
I'm not sure if its the same color as Mac's Peachy Keen but all i know is that its prettty!! A very pretty peachy blush.
Photobucket
Honey Bunch
This would be my favorite. you can use the brownish brick color for contour or bronzer, use the light pink as highlight or just mix them all together as a blush.
Photobucket
Lustrous Shadow in Olive it Up
This is so pretty in the compact. They are quiet sheer so you can build up the colors.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Photobucket
Marble-ous Match Liner/Shadow pencil
I guess you can use it as an eye shadow or eye liner, but I think this is better as a base on the eye lids because its too soft to be a liner.
Diamond Lust eye shadows
Photobucket
Champagne Buzz
A pretty very shimmery champagne color.
Photobucket
Pillow Talk Pink
Its very shimmery!! I love it.
Golden Affair Blushes
Yes, they look really dark in the compact but when you swatch it, its a pretty berry color. I dont like the gold design on top, but its not mixed in the blush. Its just sitting on top so you can wipe it out and it comes off. This would be good for medium to dark skin tones.
Photobucket
Berry Darling
Photobucket
Merlot at Midnight
If there is a 99 cents store around your area, I suggest you go check it out. Maybe they have it too!
