An eye cream is a moisturizer specifically formulated for the eye area. It won't damage or ruin the soft tissue around the eyes or cause irritation. A lot of the creams contains ingredients with anti-aging benefits (green tea) and will reduce wrinkles (retinol, caffein, vitamin C), puffiness and dark circles (vitamin K,hydroquinone) . It really depends on what brand you chose. They all have different claims and promises. But whatever problems you may have, just make sure you find the right one for you.
I have light dark circles and few wrinkles forming under my eyes (yikes!). It is nothing serious so I don't need an intense repair eye cream...yet. For now, I use Alba Green Tea eye gel. It has anti-aging and moisturing benefits that I need. This is some good stuff. I have been using the product for months and, I really like it. It feels soothing to the eye area and it wakes up my eyes in the morning because of its cooling sensation. It is very moisturizing and great under my concealer which prevents it from caking up. I only need a little bit and, it goes a long way.
can be purchased at your local CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart and http://drugstore.com/. Price depends on where you go. I purchased mine at my local CVS for $22.00 but other places are cheaper.
so do you use an eye cream? If so, what do you use?

omg! i am just thinking of getting an eye cream. i don't know if that's avail here though. very helpful post becks, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI don't use an eye cream yet ^-^ Maybe i should, just to prevent undereye circles !
ReplyDeleteI'd like top try an eye gel too since I don't have major wrinkles problmes... yet xD Alba is available at my local Wal-Mart... must give it a try (=
ReplyDeleteI don't really think I need them just yet...but then again I think I do lol. I do have dark circles D: you know, like in the use of to prevent wrinkles.. I'll probably start when I turn 25. But yeah, I don't use one. I did use some neutrogena one, I didn't notice a difference.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend's brother's girlfriend uses that brand (alba) for face wash, shampoo and body wash :o
I started using one after I noticed that my concealer was setting into these tiny lines....it was like in the movies you know, like ::dun, dun, DUN:: SCREAM! It sucks cause I don't think it's making much of a difference, I'll have to check this Alba one and see how it goes...
ReplyDeleteanyway...thanks for sharing! : )
I use the equate (walmart) brand called advanced firming eye day/night cream and I love love love it. It was only 7. something dollars too. very creamy adn depuffs my eyes.. still in progress on working with the lines! haha. ony used for a week now!
ReplyDeleteI already use an eye cream, it's best to prevent, IMO! I use one by Neutrogena, if not, Clinique.
ReplyDeleteI use eye cream once in awhile... whenever I'm in the mood or not busy. LOL. I'm currently using the Mary Kay's Timewise eye cream (only got it because it came in the cleanser set I purchased). I don't see any differences or anything.
ReplyDeleteThat product sounds promising! I have an eye cream from Skinfood but I haven't been wearing it for quite some time. Haha, thanks for reminding me then :)
ReplyDeleteOh and your new banner is pretty! :D
I use Cellex-C Advanced-C Eye Cream, it's pricey but so worth it! It's packed with vitamin C and anti-oxidants, and works on me
