Free Vogue Magazine!!!

So I have been getting Vogue magazines in the mail that I didn't subscribed to. I asked my boyfriend, family and friends but they didn't do it too. I finally called Vogue customer service and they told me it was a free gift from ELF eyes.lips.face. Really? Why?

So funny and I was still clueless. I called ELF customer service and they told me they have been doing free magazine subscription if you spend $30 or more on their website. I ordered some stuff back in January and thats how I got it. The magazine varies and this month they're giving away Women's Health magazine.

Cool huh?

just thought i let everyone know ^_^

NYX Cream blush in GLOW

If you want a long lasting cheek color, try a cream blush instead of a powder blush. It adheres to the skin better and it looks more natural. NYX carries a line of rouge cream blushes that I'm sure you'll like their cream blush in Glow is one of my favorites.

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in GLOW

WHAT: Product claims rouge cream blush offers radiant, long-lasting color in a form of a velvety smooth cream. Infused with mineral oils, this blush is creamy in texture and provides a dewy glow for natural, fresh color. (source: nyx cosmetics website)

Mineral Oils, Isopropy Myristate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Lanolin, Diisostearyl
malate, Corn starch modifited, Mica, Silica, Titanium dioxide, Butylated hydroxy anisole,
Propyl paraben.

Beautiful Swatch

FINAL THOUGHT: This product is a YAY! It's a great quality product with an awesome price tag of 6 bucks, you can't beat that. It does what it says. Its long lasting and a little goes a long way because it is so pigmented. On the other hand, you have to be careful when applying it. Apply it lightly with your finger and blend it really well into the skin. Its so easy to go crazy with the color so be careful!!!

What is your favorite cream blush?

TIP: cold eye cream/gel

Hey readers, I hope everyone is having a great Spring break. I'm feeling under the weather again and, I'm trying to get better because I'm going on a quick vacation with friends on Tuesday. I sure don't want to miss it. I'm drinking lots of OJ, hot tea with lemon, downing my dayquil O_o and eating lots of fruits.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a quick tip you can do with your eye cream/gel. I put my Alba eye gel in the fridge over night. Then I take it out in the morning and apply it around my eye area. It feels really good ^_^ Its cooling, soothing and instantly de-puff my eye bags.

I put in a small ziploc bag to protect it from odors and stains.

Try it and let me know what you guys think?

Thank you for reading my blog and welcome to all my new followers!!!

My Customized Earth Tone pallete by MARK and Eyeshadow Swatches

Hey readers! I created my own customized eye shadow palette using my I-Mark single eye shadows and Snap It Custom Color palette by Mark cosmetics.  They are one of my  favorite products from MARK. I love the quality of the eye shadows and, I love how I can mix and match them in my Snap It Custom Color palette. For example,  here is an Earth Tone palette I created.

I used eye shadows, Nomadic, Espresso, Vintage Khaki and Java. I snapped them into the palette.Voila! Its an instant palette! Now I can store it in my makeup kit for an easy reach or take it anywhere I go.

The Snap It Custom Color Palette is strong, sturdy and magnetic. Also, I love how its clear so I can see the colors.

Pretty Swatches

Simple Eye Makeup Tutorial
-I used a concealer as my base all over the lids
-Nomadic e/s was applied on the brow bone as a highlight.
-Espresso e/s was brushed over the crease using a blending brush. This will be the transition color from crease to brow bone.
-Vintage Khaki e/s was applied all over the lids and lower lash line
- Java e/s was applied on the outer V and halfway up the crease. This will add definition to the look.
-Eye Marker in Jet (black eyeliner) was applied on the upper lash line and water line.
-Curl lashes and use mascara.

Makeup brushes doesnt have to be expensive pt.2

When it comes to a blush brush, I prefer using a duo fiber brush or also known as a skunk or stippling brush. The bristles are super thin and soft and it picks up small amount of product. This prevents me from putting too much blush on my cheeks. On the other hand, I have been using the ECOTOOLS bamboo blush brush. It's is a basic blush brush. I purchased it out of curiosity to see how I'm going to like it.

An Eco-friendly blush brush
  •  Expertly tapered for easy highlighting and contouring of cheekbones
  •  Soft, cruelty-free hair
  •  Natural and recycled materials
  •  Bamboo handle has a low impact on the earth’s resources as it is a highly sustainable plant.
  •  Synthetic taklon bristles are 100% cruelty free.
  •  Sleek ferrule is made from recycled aluminum.
 (source: ecotools website)

You can find it at your local drugstore such as RiteAid, Walgreens, CVS, Target, Walmart etc

PRICE: retails for $8.99 It won't break your bank. YAY!

Its super soft!!!

  • Dip the brush on your favorite blush and tap off the excess.
  • Start at the highest point of your cheek which is the cheekbone.
  • Dab it on the apple of your cheek or dab and lightly stroke upwards towards the hairline.

After dipping the brush three times. The brush does not pick up too much product which is awesome. I used Gingerly blush by Mac

You can dab it on the apple of your cheek.

or dab and lightly brush it upwards towards the hairline.
I applied the blush a little heavy but not too much to make the color appear in the photo.

Even though I'm a duo fiber brush user for blush application, I was surprise to find that I really like this brush. I like the fact that the bristles are so soft and lightly packed. This allows to pick up less product which made it easy for me to blend. Also, I can't get enough how it feels so nice and soft on my face. Its the main reason why I have been using it.

Do you guys own any EcoTools brush?

SMOOCHES! Carmex lip balm

If there is one product I can't live with out, it would have to be my Carmex lip balm. I use it everyday and all the time.

I apply it...
  • to moisturize my lips. Its my first step in my makeup application.
  • to prevent chapped lips. They hurt and so unattractive!!!
  • to protect my lips from the sun's harmful UV rays. It has SPF 15 woohoo!!!
  • because I love the Cherry scent.

Carmex can be purchased at your local drugstore such as RiteAid, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy and etc.

So what is your favorite lip balm?

LOOK: Wear blue eyeshadow to work!!!

Hey readers! Do you wear eye shadows to work or school? If so, what colors? A friend of mine messaged me on facebook asking if I can suggest an eyeshadow color she can wear to work beside the usual browns and bronze. I said what about blue? She laughed and she said she won't be able pull it off.  So I did this post to prove her wrong. Anyone can wear blue eyeshadow for work and look nice. Just do it very subtle and don't over do it. Its pretty and easy to do. Here's how!

Wearable blue eyes and pink lips

Body Shop Tea Tree anti-blemish moisturizer all over the face except for the nose.
Skin MD moisturizer all over my nose. I have a dry nose lol
Smashbox Oil Free face primer applied all over the face to make the foundation last longer
Almay line smoothing concealer in medium applied under the eyes. Blended with a wet sponge.
Dermablend Professional setting powder applied on top of the foundation/concealer.
Mac blush in gingerly on the cheeks

Almay Line Smoothing concealer in medium (my primer)
Smashbox single e/s in Pronto (a shimmery nude vanilla) all over the lids and browbone as a highlight
I-Mark e/s in Ocean Drive (mid-tone ocean blue) applied wet on the upper lash line and smudged with a brush. Keep it on the upper lash line for a subtle pop of blue.
Mac e/s in Cork applied on the edge on the blue e/s to diffuse the harsh line.
Sonia Kashuk gel liner in black applied thinly on the upper lash line and make a slight wing.
curl lashes and apply Maybelline Great Big Lash mascara
Revlon fantasy lengths in Intensifying ( false lashes are optional)

Mark's I-mark e/s in Ocean Drive. A mid-tone ocean blue color with multi-colored shimmers.

Carmex lip balm to moisturize the lips
NYX lip liner in nude on the lipline and all over the lips. Will create as a base.
NYX round l/s in TeaRose

If you think the pink lips is too bright for you, opt for a clear or nude lip gloss instead. I hope this look was helpful ^_^
