TIP: cold eye cream/gel

Hey readers, I hope everyone is having a great Spring break. I'm feeling under the weather again and, I'm trying to get better because I'm going on a quick vacation with friends on Tuesday. I sure don't want to miss it. I'm drinking lots of OJ, hot tea with lemon, downing my dayquil O_o and eating lots of fruits.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a quick tip you can do with your eye cream/gel. I put my Alba eye gel in the fridge over night. Then I take it out in the morning and apply it around my eye area. It feels really good ^_^ Its cooling, soothing and instantly de-puff my eye bags.

I put in a small ziploc bag to protect it from odors and stains.

  1. Pretty cool and simple tip! I do this w/ my foundations and moisturizers during warm and hot weather. It's refreshingly cool when I apply it to my face. I think I'll try it w/ eye creams now!

    And I never thought of putting my beauty products in zip lock bags to protect them from getting tainted w/ smells from other things inside the fridge, so thanks for that tip!

  4. hi becky.. :) i do the same thing with my skin care prods..

    i have a plastic caddy(covered) in the fridge where i keep all my moisturizers, body butters, eye creams, toners, makeup remover and face mists.. it's so refreshing indeed.. :)

  6. LOL i used to put my moisturiser and eye cream on the fridge, love the cooling sensation. But now, im too tired to walk to the kitchen hehe

  8. I've heard about that too. Storing the eye creams in the fridge makes them more effective.

  12. I like the covered plastic caddy idea that Kay had. I always forget to put my creams in the fridge. I need to start remembering cause I often have puffy eyes AND face in the morning!!

  13. we should not forget to store this cream's in a cool area to preserve it. Since storing it on high heat places can damage the product.
