Revlon Matte lipsticks Review/Swatches

There was time in my makeup life that I was so into matte lipsticks. I liked the no shine, no shimmer/glitter or any type of iridescent finish on my lips. Matte lipsticks gives the most coverage and intensity on the lips and it can give you a sophisticated look. I own a couple of matte lipsticks from Mac but when Revlon came out with their line of matte lipsticks, I had to try it.

WHAT: Ultra-creamy saturated lip color that delivers beautiful, lightweight matte color without any dryness, caking or fading. Straight from the Runway shades !Beautifully rich matte color glides effortlessly across lips. Suede-like, cushiony feel and with maximum color impact. Beautifully rich shades from nude to deepest berry. (source: revlon website

WHERE: You can find them at their website, your local drugstores such as Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid and other stores like Walmart, Target, Utla and etc.

TEXTURE: A creamy matte texture

PRICE: Price varies depends on where you go. I got mine at Rite-Aid when they were having a BuyOneGetOne sale for $7.99

Final Thoughts: These matte lipsticks were okay. The texture was great but the coverage wasn't so great. I had to re-apply several times to get the coverage I wanted. It can look chalky on the lips so be very careful. Nude Attitude looks pale and way too chalky on my lips so its a no-no. The only way I can use that shade is if I mix it with a darker lipstick shade. Also, matte lipsticks in general can be drying so I always apply a lip balm underneath them. On the other hand, I love the available shades you can choose from pinks to reds ^_^ Will I re-purchase? maybe.

LOOK: Easy Pretty Makeup for Work/ Video Tutorial

Hey everyone, this post is going to be for my friend Haydee. She asked me to do a makeup look for work that she can copy. I created a look that is very simple and easy to do. It is not the usual neutral look for everyday. The main eye shadow color is a shimmery bronzey gold. Its a great alternative to the usual brown shades.

Mark's Powder Buff foundation to set the concealer
Milani Sun Goddess e/s all over the lids  and lower lash line applied wet
Smashbox single e/s in Pronto applied on the brow bone as highlight
Mark's eyemarker in jet on the upper lashline and water line
Mark's I-Mark single e/s in Espresso patted/smudged on the black eye liner
Maybelline Great Big Lash mascara in black

do this step on the upper lash line

Skin MD Natural moisturizer shielding lotion
Alba Green tea eye gel applied on the eye area
Revlon Color Stay foundation in Golder Caramel applied wet with a sponge
Almay Line Smoothing concealer in medium applied under the eyes and blemishes
Mark's Powder Buff powder foundation in Golden applied used to set the foundation/concealer

Avon's Smooth mineral blush in Golden Glow

Carmex lip balm
Mark Baby Glow Luxe Hook Up lip gloss in Lotus Luxe

I did a video tutorial. It's a crappy one but hey I tried haha! I created a new youtube account so subscribe if you want.

How to: Make glitters stick on your lids/skin

I got a question in my email from an anonymous reader. "What do you use to make glitters stick on your eyes?" Using them are so much fun and it adds more interest to your look. On the other hand, I hate how its gets all over the place ugh! So what do I use to make those sparkly bad boys stick? clear lip gloss! I like to apply it thinly on my lid on top of my eye makeup. I like to stay under the crease the eye to prevent creasing. Then I use a sponge tip applicator to pat on the glitters. It still gets a little messy but the outcome is worth it ^_^

My 2010 New Year look using lipgloss and bright blue glitters on  my lids :)

Becky's Best/Fav Makeup Product ^_^

Hey everyone, life has been a little busy so I wasn't able to update my blog. But I'm back with another post and I want to share with you guys some makeup product/tools I use the most.

Mark Eye Marker retractable eye liner in Jet(black)
When I am not using my Mark cream liner, I like to use this retractable eye liner by Mark. The texture is smooth and creamy, it won't tug on your lids. I use it to line my upper lash line, lower lashline and sometimes as a base. Its creamy enough to be used as a base underneath an eye shadow. I have used 2 of these already.
Visit my E-Boutique if you're interested in purchashing this

E.L.F eye shader brush
For a buck, this is the best eye shader brush I have ever tried. Ever since I discovered this, I started to believe that an eyeshader brush shouldn't cost more than a buck right? Its a straight forward brush. I use it to apply/shade eye shadow colors on my lids. Its dense enough to deposit color nicely on the lids. I use it whenever I do my eye makeup.

Revlon Color Stay liquid foundation
Everyone raves about this liquid foundation so I had to try it for myself. Oh man, I was hooked! I have been using this for a long time now and I have abandoned my Mac Studio Fix Fluid. I'm serious. It comes in a so many shades so there is no doubt that you will find the right shade for you. My shade is Golden Caramel and it is a perfect match for my skin tone. I apply it dry or wet with a damp sponge for a sheer effect. Love it!!!
Can be purchased at your local drugstore.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid daily sun block
This is my holy grail product. I use this bad boy every single day. It has spf 55. It has more than enough spf I need to protect my skin from the harmful sun rays. Usually the more spf the sun block has the more greasy it is. Not this product! It is non-greasy and very light weight. I'm serious!!! Also, It blends very nicely on to my skin and it does not leave any white residue. I use it underneath my foundation powder, liquid foundation or by itself. Can be purchased at your local drugstore.

So there you have it guys. I hope this post was helpful ^_^ Have a great week!

The cutest hair straightener review/ giveaway. Missiko.

Hey everyone. I have exciting news. I was sent the cutest hair straightener by John Missiko of http://www. missiko.com
. They specialize in HAIR STRAITENERS, FHI Flat Iron, CHI Flat Iron, hair dryers and etc. I was sent the cutest ceramic iron called the Hana Professional 1 inch flat iron pink edition to test and review . I've had this for a month now and I really put this product to test. I've used it on myself an family members and, I really like it.
Everything was carefully and nicely packaged.

It came with:
-Hana Professional 1 inch flat iron pink edition.
-Heat proof rubber mat and pouch
-Shine and Shield Leave-In treatment.
-free Sally Hansen lip color and a sand sanitizer.

I really like this pink fabric case. Now, I can nicely store and protect my flat iron.

It's pink!!! How can you not like it? lol

This heat proof rubber mat was pretty neat to have. Before I would place my hot flat iron on top of the counter sink but now I have a heat proof mat to use.

I haven't tried this leave in treatment so I can't say my thoughts on it.

Before. This is how my natural hair really looks like. Wavy and messy. It got even more messier because I just woke up from a nap ^_^

After. It's super straight and shiny ^_^ It only took me 10 minutes to do it.

Final thought: After a whole month of using it, I can honestly say that I am very pleased with the product. It heats up fast and, it was very easy to use. I was able to straighten my hair in one stroke. You just have to be careful because the outer edge of the top can be really hot. All in all, its an effective and great product ^_^

If you want one of your own, John Missiko of Missiko.com is sponsoring a giveaway for all of you. How exciting!!!

A Soda Pop Tab Purse?

I can't believe it. I saw this lady at work wearing a purse made out of soda pop tab. I immediately came up to her and asked where she got it. It's the coolest thing I've ever seen in a long time. I got to chat more with the lady during my lunch break and I was able to look at her purse and take photos lol. She was nice enough to let me ^_^

This is some heavy duty purse. It looks like a lot of time was spent in making this.
The lady said that a friend of hers from Mexico made it a long time ago. She bought it for 50 bucks. On the other hand, her friend doesn't make them anymore because they were too time consuming. That sucks coz i wanted one so bad. We still exchanged contact number just in case her friend decides to make another one.

She let me take a photo of her stuff lol. You can fit a lot of stuff inside.
So what do you guys think? Its cool right?
