- Urban Decay's Pocket Rocket lip gloss in Timothy

TIMOTHY coral with pink glow

An all-American and future Senator, Timothy is your mother's dream come true. Skilled at fencing, rugby and sailing, he is valiant and fun. Undress him and he'll make you the next Jackie O-oh-ohhhhhhh! (

For some reason, I find these lip glosses really funny. I laugh whenever I see an almost naked buff guy on print or in real life like those tanning boys at Imats lol. I know, I'm weird like that ^_^

You can get Timothy at Sephora and Urban Decay's website.

IMATS 2010 Makeup Haul.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share the things I got at the International Makeup Artist Trade Show at  Pasadena, California on Saturday June 26th, 2010. I'm glad I went because I had the best experience and I can't wait to go again next year! I was hoping to meet some of my blogger friends but I only saw and met one.

I didn't get a lot of things. I went in prepared with a list and got the things that I really needed. Also, I had a huge headache half of the time because the people walking around was making me dizzy lol.

Graftobian Makeup Artist Skin Care Series
I'm really excited to get this product because I've been lemming on this for a long time now. I've seen RenRen of Makeupbyrenren used it in one of her videos and its recommended by the Emmy Award winning celebrity makeup artist Kevin-James Benett as one of the best moisturizers out there in the market.

It's a great base to use. It's great for all skin types and it has skin care benefits like Shea butter to soft and heal and grape seed extract for antioxidants. Also, it has silicone to fill in fine lines and wrinkles on the face. I got it fot 20 bucks and it retails for 25.

Graftobian Anti-Shine HD foundation primer
One of the makeup artist at the Graftobian booth really sold me on this one. I took her word for it since, I've never heard or seen any reviews about this product so I took a chance in buying it.

You apply this product right after you moisturize the face. It's supposed to control the oil on the face through out the day and prevent your face from looking like a grease ball. I got it for 20 bucks and it retails for 25.
You can get it at

The cream has a thick consistency

No name brand spoolies for 50 cents each. I needed a new one.

No name brand 28 Neutral Palette. Its the same thing as the 28 neutral palette from Coastal Scents and the one from Ebay.

I love how it has a mix of shimmery and matte colors, great for everyday neutral or smokey looks. Also, great for bridal makeup. I got it for 20 bucks!

Beauty Blender, the ultimate makeup sponge applicator!
I can't wait to try this one. I'm a big fan of applying foundation wet because the foundation adheres to the skin better and this sponge is the perfect tool. You're supposed to use it damp/wet and it helps your foundation blend into the skin nicely and evenly making you look poreless and flawless, perfect for HD. I got it for 19 dollars and it retailed for $25.80

its pink and its cute!!!

LOOK: Smokey Neutral Eyes and Nude Lips.

Hey everyone! I did a Smokey Neutral Eyes and nude lips. This is kind of my "I dunno what the heck I'm gonna do with my makeup" look lol. It  never fails me. It pretty much goes with whatever I wear and definitely is wearable for any occasion because it's neutral. You can tone it down or intensify the look by adjusting the black on the crease to you own liking.

For the eyes, I used colors that are close to my skin tone except for the black of course. I used shimmery nude colors using my Urban Decay Ammo Palette. I've forgotten how much I love this palette. Urban Decay makes amazing eye shadows. I applied Chopper and Sin on the lids to highlight the eyes and kept the colors above the crease and brow bone matte to balance the eye makeup. ( I have done all shimmery eye makeup in the past and it doesn't photograph very well O_o).

Tip: use the tip of the mascara wand to get into the hard to reach lashes in the inner and outer corner of the eyes.

Tip: Pick a nude lipstick close to your skin tone. You don't want washed out looking lips.
Almay Line Smoothing concealer in medium as a base
Mark's Powderbuff foundation to set the concealer

Mark I-mark e/s in Espresso

Put that Sunblock on!!!

Call me a party pooper but I'm going to stay away from the sun as much as possible this Summer. On the other hand, I will still make sure that I put that sun block on and you should too. I wanna share an awesome product that is great for Summer. I've been using the Ultra-Sheer Liquid daily sunblock by Neutrogena whenever I know I'm going to be exposed to the sun. I love this product because it has spf 55, non greasy and layers invisibly under my foundation.

WHAT: Helioplex Broad Spectrum UVA-UVB™
  • Layers invisibly under makeup
  • Weightless liquid formula
  • Waterproof
  • #1 Dermatologist Recommended Sun care
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer® Liquid Sunblock superior sun protection in a lightweight liquid for daily protection from the sun. Superior broad-spectrum protection against skin-aging UVA and burning UVB rays, shielding skin 6 layers deep from premature skin aging. Layers Invisibly:  Provides an even, non-shiny finish.  Works beautifully alone or under make-up and moisturizers.Ultra Sheer Light Feel:  Water-light texture spreads easily over skin, absorbing instantly to an invisible weightless feel.
  • Waterproof, sweat-proof
  • Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores)
  • One touch continuous spray works at any angle
  • Oil free
  • PABA-free

WHERE: Your local drugstore,

TEXTURE: very liquid-y and thin to the feel. Non-greasy

PRICE: $16.00 and below. It depends on where you get it.

AMOUNT: 1.4 fl oz.

ODOR: to me it has a little bit of scent but its not bad. It doesn't smell like any other sunblock.

How I use it:
  • Shake the bottle well before using it.
  • Take small amount and directly apply it on a clean face
  • I wear it under my powder foundation, tinted moisturizer or by itself.

  • Thin and Non-greasy. It's not like any other sunblock that is thick and gross.
  • It has spf 55 to protect our face from the sun.
  • Sweat proof and water proof..hello!!
  • It layers invisibly under makeup. It's amazing.
  • doesn't have a bad odor.
  • I can't think of anything. Maybe the price? But you can get them a little cheaper depends on where you get them. I personally doesn't mind paying a little more for a really good sun block such as this.
FINAL THOUGHT: This is a must have product for me. I can't see myself going through Summer without this product. I love the fact that I can apply it under my makeup and it really doesn't feel greasy on the face. Usually, the higher the SPF in sunblock , the greasier it is but not this product. It's trully amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Have a fun and safe Summer everyone! Always remember to put that sunblock on!!

LOOK: Bright Blue Summer Makeup

Yesterday was the first day of summer. Are you guys excited? I'm not lol. I've said it before that I'm not a big fan of summer. I hate the heat. On the other hand, I like the fact that I get to wear flip flops, sandals, mini skirts and I get to sport bright makeup looks. I feel like summer is a great time to take out your unused bright eye shadows and lipsticks and give it some love.

For example, I did a Bright Blue Summer makeup when I went on a date with Kiko the other day. Yes, I wore it in public and I actually got a few compliments from girls lol. Its a fun look to do and you should try it too. It's summer so go have fun with your makeup.

Vitamin E Eye Cream by The Body Shop

I always say it's never too early to use an eye cream. I'm not getting any younger and at 25 I need to put eye cream lol. I've been seeing few fine lines under my eyes that wasn't there before, yikes! I know it's part of aging but hey if i can some what prevent it by using an eye cream then why not.

I've been using the Vitamin E Eye Cream by The Body Shop for 3 weeks. I bought 2. One for me and one for my makeup freelance kit. I'm slowly building it. The sales lady recommended it to me because it supposedly does so many things. It claims that it helps reduce appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. And it's great for all skin type. Wow, sounds like a must have product.

WHAT: A moisturizing eye cream that helps protect the delicate skin around the eye area, reducing the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. Contains moisturizing shea butter and rose hip oil. (source:

WHERE: At your local The Body Shop store. or their website

AMOUNT: 0.5 fl oz.

PRICE: $17.00

TEXTURE: milky cream

ODOR: There is a smell to it but I'm not sure what it is. It's not a bad smell. Friends have told me it smells like plastic but I don't think so.

Just use a few tiny dots under the eye area and blend. You don't need a lot.
This is my niece's eye lol.

  • It's really moisturizing. I love this product for that reason.
  • It prevents my concealer from caking up.
  • Maybe $17 for an eye cream may be a lot???
  • It doesn't reduce puffiness under the eyes. Just use ice.
  • My fine lines looks the same. I've used it for 3 weeks. Maybe I need to use it longer.
  • My dark circles looks the same. But then again, maybe I need to use it longer.
Final Thought: Overall this was an okay product. I still like the product even though there was more cons than pros. I love how it's really moisturizing under the eyes so its really a plus. I just don't like how it promises so many things. But like what I said, maybe I need to use it longer to see if it really works.
