I've been using the Vitamin E Eye Cream by The Body Shop for 3 weeks. I bought 2. One for me and one for my makeup freelance kit. I'm slowly building it. The sales lady recommended it to me because it supposedly does so many things. It claims that it helps reduce appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. And it's great for all skin type. Wow, sounds like a must have product.
WHAT: A moisturizing eye cream that helps protect the delicate skin around the eye area, reducing the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. Contains moisturizing shea butter and rose hip oil. (source: http://www.thebodyshop.com)
WHERE: At your local The Body Shop store. or their website http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com
AMOUNT: 0.5 fl oz.
PRICE: $17.00
TEXTURE: milky cream
ODOR: There is a smell to it but I'm not sure what it is. It's not a bad smell. Friends have told me it smells like plastic but I don't think so.
Just use a few tiny dots under the eye area and blend. You don't need a lot.
This is my niece's eye lol.
PROS:
- It's really moisturizing. I love this product for that reason.
- It prevents my concealer from caking up.
CONS:
- Maybe $17 for an eye cream may be a lot???
- It doesn't reduce puffiness under the eyes. Just use ice.
- My fine lines looks the same. I've used it for 3 weeks. Maybe I need to use it longer.
- My dark circles looks the same. But then again, maybe I need to use it longer.

Thanks for the review!!Havent try this one!i have dark circles so I need something stronger!!Hugs
ReplyDeleteI honestly think The Body Shop products are overrated and overpriced so I never bothered trying anything from their skin care line. :P Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteI got clinique's all about eyes in a gift bag and love it, I'm still young so I don't notice any anti-ageing effects but it makes me feel really awake in the mornings :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the review. I've been looking for an eye moisturizing for a while. I will definitely check out this product when I go shopping this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a giveaway of a J Crew bracelet. Hope you will enter: http://petitegorgeous.blogspot.com/ :)
Hi Becky! Aww thanks for congratulating me! Yah, a year--crazy how time flies! I unfortunately won't be going to Pasadena for IMATS. Justin and I frequent the Rose Bowl flea markets it's a shame but it's okay that I can't go to Pasadena for IMATS--it's for a good reason. Hehe! Justin's family is visiting from Northern, CA and it's his dad's birthday weekend so we are going to have fun and take him to a surprise birthday dinner, a comedy club and take them around the area. Also, on Monday I am trying on wedding dresses--shopping around. Heheh!
ReplyDeleteWill you be going to IMATS?
Thanks for the review... I would have considered buying this product but now that I've read this I won't....much appreciated! :)

I have been wanting to buy a line filler cream for the area between my eyes. I am starting to slightly develop frown lines...no!! I don't want to look angry all the time! You wouldn't happen to know of a good wrinkle cream would you? I've heard the Olay regenerist line is good, but I was just wondering if you had any suggestions ;)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it has a light shimmer in it - pretty. I use eye creams but I don't ever see a difference! :-(
ReplyDeleteI actually like this review... but for a bit more I bought Clinique's all about eyes and I think it actually reduces dark circles and puffiness a bit.
ReplyDeleteGo to my blog for reviews too xx
