TIP of the day. Make your eyeliner stay.

Hello readers, I apologize for the lack of comment response. My internet has been messing up for a couple of days and, I havent been able to visit everyone's blog. Also, Its kind of difficult to keep up with everyone. But I try my best. So thank you for all the comments, awards, nominations and for your time.

Using an eyeliner is a great way to define one's eyes. On the other hand, they tend to fade and melt away easily and will sometimes give you racoon eyes by the end of the day. In my opinion, it doesn't metter if its a high end or low end brand eyeliner. It will fade. So heres a quick tip to prevent that.

Tip: Set your eyeliner with an eyeshadow powder

Apply your favorite eyeliner pencil on your waterline. I used black.

Use an angled brush and dip into a similar color eyeshadow. Tap off the excess!!! you don't want to get too much product on your water line.

Gently pat it on where you applied the eyeliner. This will set the eyeliner in place.

Try it! and I hope this helps ^_^

Keep in mind that this tip may or may not work for everyone, so do it at your own risk. Also, I do not recomment this tip if you wear contact lenses because irritation may occur. Read the comments below to find out how it worked for my readers.

Why do Asians throw peace signs in pictures??

Hey readers! This post is just for fun. In one of my previous posts,
I asked everyone if they knew why Asians throw peace signs in pictures because my boyfriend wants to know ^_^. My good friend Jazya sent me a comment on facebook in reagrds to this question. I copied and pasted her comment below.

Jayza Baylon- hi becky! u know y asians do a lot of peace signs in pictures? here's the history according to my sister's japanese friend.. it all started with the japanese. they asked little kids to pose like that in pictures to promote world peace. everybody thinks it cute at the same time kids, teens and even adults pose like that..soon more neighboring countries like korea and taiwan follow..until it spread like swine flu all over asia esp in PI cuz of koreanovelas and chinovela! *kawaii* (^^,)v (i hope it answers kiko's question) happy new year to both of u. mwah!

Also, one of my blogger friend Louzee did a post about this .Check out her blog!

Have a good one everyone!!

Review: Revlon 12 Hour Eyeshadow in Stonewash Denim and EOTD

Hello, readers! I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I was able to purchase Revlon's 12 Hour Eyeshadow quad in Stonewash Demin at my local CVS for 75% off. It retails for $6.99 but I was able to get it for $1.75. I was so excited to try it out and share my thoughts .

WHAT: Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow features a patented technology that stops the shadow from flaking, fading and smudging for up to 12 hours. Compact includes 2 sponge shadow applicators. Fragrance free. Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for contact lens wearers. (source:

It comes in a small black compact made of plastic. It has a decent size window to see the 4 eyeshadows inside. The compact is 3 1/2" in length, 2" in width, and 1/2" in depth. It also came with 2 tiny sponge tip applicators.

COLORS: based on my judgement
                  1. light white smoke (it looks white in the quad)
                  2. cool pale baby blue
                  3. cool light slate greyish blue
                  4. cool dim gray

Other quads are available in Copper Spice, Coffee Bean , Neutral Khakis , Sandstorm , Blushed Wines, In the Buff, Spring Moss, Stonewash Denim, Sterling Rose  and Berry Bloom.

PRICE: retails for $6.99 but you can get them at BOGO (Buy one, get one free or 50% off) at drugstores and if they are on promotion. I purchased mine for $1.75 since CVs is having their 75% on most of their cosmetics.

Boron Nitride, Dimethicone, Talc, Cyclopentasiloxane, Polypropylene, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Nylon-12, Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer, Zinc Stearate, Cetyl Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, Methicone, Mineral Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben.

May contain: Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Ultramarines, Carmine, Manganese Violet, Chromium Oxide Greens, Chromium Hydroxide Green, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide, Blue No. 1 Lake, Yellow No. 5 Lake, Red No. 40 Lake.

without any base. The colors seems to be more brighter in person.

...with concealer as a base. The camera washed out the colors and you cant seem to tell the difference between lighter colors but trust me its more nicer in person.

underneath a dark base.

-The packaging is compact and light weight.
-The texture of the eyeshadows are silky and smooth. Its quite nice.
-I must say that the pigmentation is okay.I feel like the #3 cool light bluish lavander appeared more pigemented on the lids compare to #4 cool dim gray. I do have to say that you need a color base underneath so the colors would show up more.
-Very user friendly. There is an easy to follow instructions at the back of the quad on how to use the colors.
-The price is awesome.
-The staying power of the eyeshadow is pretty good underneath a good eye primer.
-This quad is perfect for everyday use and perfect for a hint of color in their eyes.

-Packaging seems to be flimsy so be careful not to drop it.
-I had a difficult time making the color appear on my lids using an eye shader brush. I suggest using a sponge tip applicator or your fingers to apply the colors. Pat on the colors!

Final thought:
I actually love this quad. Don't expect an "in your face" pigmentation from the colors because I dont think its meant for a bright look. The colors are perfect for a hint of color for a day time. Also, the quad is perfect for beginners because it is very user friendly.

Add falsies for a dramatic effect.

New Year, New BANGS!!

I got bangs!!!

...thanks to boredom and Rachel Ray kitchen shears! Yes, I did it myself and kitchen shears worked just fine ^_^ I still can't believe I did it lol. I have been wanting a new look without sacrificing the length of my hair and getting bangs is the way to go. I look very different and, I really love it ^_^

I was very careful not to cut my bangs too short so I was cutting my hair little by little. I thought about side bangs but eh... I've done it before so why not go for something totally different like straight bangs. This look is very bold and its something I never thought would work but it does and, I'm happy I did it.

I cut my bangs with my hair dry so I can see the real length.

I know they dont look perfect but it will do for now. Once it grows a bit then I will go to a salon to get them really straight.

I finally got to see the movie AVATAR in 3d with my boyfriend. It is really a must see! The movie had amazing special effects and, and 3d effect made it even better.

We went to Johnny Rockets for some fatty burgers and milkshakes.

I thought I post this pic of my boyfriend smiling. He's smiling!!! He never smiles in pictures. I took it when he asked me, "Why do Asians do this a lot in pictures?" then threw peace signs lol.

Does anyone know the answer to this question? Write it down in the comment ^_^ ( I'm Asian and I do it too lol)

I hope everyone is having a great day!
