Mini Haul: Smooth Away Hair Removal.

The other day, I went to my local Walgreens to pick up some birthday cards when I spotted the Smooth Away hair removal by the cashier. You probably have seen the funny infomercial on television with women suffering from the pain of waxing, shaving and plucking unwanted hair, until they discovered Smooth Away  . No shaving, no chemicals and pain free hair removal WOW!

It was on sale for $5 so I bought it lol. Why not right? If it works, cool! If it doesn't, oh well...^_^. But seriously, it sounds like a really good product. I usually shave my legs with a razor and wax my facial hair and pits, and it's not fun. It will be really cool if this product does what it says.

Have you tried Smooth Away before?

  1. This sounded too good to be true, but I bought it anyway for $9.99 at Walgreens a year ago. It doesn't work well; it only worked on fine hair follicles (my upper lip peach fuzz, lol), and not thick hair follicles (hair on my leg). Plus, all the rubbing gave me a rash & it was harsh on the skin on my face! :(

    Hope it works for you!

  2. This doesn't work at all!! It takes FOREVER to scrub and get the hairs to come out. All the scrubbing was becoming too harsh for my skin.

  4. If you have fine hair like on my leg... that I don't even need to shave at all and no one notice it if I do or not (I still do on occasion just because like when I'm at weddings or something) THEN it might work a little. I used one of the big ones and one small ones. Did not work what so ever under my arms or upper lips (which I was kind of conscious about). It did NOT work for me so I end up selling the rest of it on my old blogsale. I purchased it years ago, within the first year that it came out in stores... probably at CVS

  5. I tried a very similar product some years ago but it didn't work, unless its hidden purpose was to give me a crazy rash LoL
Good luck & no rash for you! :P

  7. This product was very popular in Spain some years ago, like 12 or so...
My mom got one of this, and my sister used it, but... she didn't have good results. I guess it's good for girls with few and slim body hair.
Oh God, my english sucks, sorry Becky :(
    Kisses.

  10. I bought this too years ago. I was hoping I didn't have to shave anymore. =(

Unfortunately it only really works well on my peach fuzz on my face. Word of caution though, the first time you use it, it could feel like your face is burning because of all the friction. from the 2nd time onwards, I've had no problems whatsoever.

Just be careful during your first time. =)

  16. Probably the best hair removal method is using a hair removal creme. After use hair is removed for a number of weeks. Best of all it's fast and effective, meaning less time in the bathroom.
