LOOK: The Big 9 Anniversary Makeup Look

Yeah, you read it right. Kiko and I just celebrated out 9 years anniversary. Isn't that crazy? When I made reservations for dinner, the host asked for what occasion and how many years we've been together and when I said 9 years, it hit me like...OMG! Are you serious, 9 years? lol. That's just nuts!

We met back in high school, which is ancient years ago in Spanish class and we started dating before he joined the military and we've together ever since. It's a total roller coaster ride, but we lasted this long because we are crazy about each other lol.

So this is the makeup look I did. I went for bold eye brows, barely there eye makeup, and hot red lips. I guess you can say I was going for a romantic and sexy look. There's nothing sexy than red lips right?

For the eye makeup, I used a matte french vanilla color (NYX eye shadow in Highlight $3.75 Buy it HERE) to neutralize the eye lids. Then, I applied a peach (Inglot peach e/s) and brown eye shadow (Mark I-Mark e/s in Espresso $5 Buy it HERE) on the crease. The peach adds warmth to the eyes. I lined my water line with a light pink eye liner (Benefit Eye Bright $20 Buy HERE), which makes gives the illusion of brighter and bigger eyes.

I have a lot of red lipsticks, but I used my MAC lipstick in Russian Red $14 (Buy HERE) , which is bright red with a slight blue base. I usually go for more of orange base reds because I think those work best against my medium skin tone, but Russian Red still looks good. It's so creamy and opaque and last for a long time. I just love it.

Here are some photos from our dinner at The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant. Nothing screams romantic than a nice fondue dinner. It's our second time here and we really like it a lot. I'll have more photos on my food blog.
