Quick Tip: How to take off mascara smudge.

Yesterday, I was in a rush applying my makeup that I accidentally poked my eye with a mascara wand. Ouch! I blinked and smudge mascara on the bottom of my eye O_o. This happens to me at least twice a week because sometimes I get too impatient. But instead of getting mad, I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos and turned the moment into a potential blog post lol.

So here's what the mascara smudge looks like. If this happens, the best thing to do is to leave it alone and let it dry. It's easy to remove when it's dry because it will flake off.

Once it's dry, I got a clean Q-tip and carefully wiped it off. It flakes off easily, so you don't have to do a lot of rubbing.

Then I touched it up with powder and voila...It's nice and clean again like nothing happened ^_^.

I hope this quick tip is helpful.

  1. This all seems really obvious, but I would have never thought to let it dry lol. I always attempt to remove it IMMEDIATELY then end up with a massive black smear under my eye. Ty!

  3. Oops Idk what happened to my other comment, but here it is again. ^_^

I hate to be the downer here but that's not quite true with all formula's, some mascara formula's are very permanent with out makeup remover.
    But great blog!

  13. I actually use q-tip and vasaline (or any lotions if I don't have any) to wipe off eyeliners before if I was in need of removing it with no makeup wipes. hehe... or a touch-up.

  20. My clumsy self has relied on this little trick for YEARS, that is until I started using heavier-duty mascara that in no way, shape, or form flake or chip off after it's dry. Cannonball from UD is one good example of that. If I mess up with that stuff I have to bust out the baby oil and get to work to remove it, then touch up the entire area.. it's a pain!
