Review: Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette in I Heart Matte

I want to thank everyone who commented on my Olive Oil Makeup Remover Post. It was very helpful reading everyone's comments.

Now onto this review...I've swatched and done 2 makeup looks using the new Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow palette in I Heart Matte, and now I can finally share my thoughts on it.

I couldn't be more excited when I heard Wet n Wild was coming out with an all matte eye shadow palette. I love matte eye shadows. Matte is a type of eye shadow finish with no shimmer, glitter or some kind of iridescence to it. It gives the makeup a more natural and sophisticated look.

What I like...
-I'm all raves for this palette. I love how it consist of a mix of neutral and bright colors that caters to my ever changing makeup mood. I can use the neutral colors for a day time, brown and black for sexy smoky eyes and brights if I'm in the mood for a fun makeup look.
- It's a time saver. I don't need to rummage through my makeup drawer to put together colors I want to use because all the colors I need from lid, crease, definer to highlight are in this palette.
-The texture is soft, but not too soft that breaks easily. It's smooth to the touch and very easy to blend.
-The colors are pigmented and true to color. I didn't have to use a color base underneath the turquoise to enhance it. It's just awesome on it's own.
-It has less fallouts, which I was so happy about.
-I love the price. It's only $4.99. How can you lose?

What I don't like..
-Hmmm...My least favorite color in the palette would have to be the purple. It was a bit chalky and difficult to swatch. Also, it's not a bright purple that I was expecting. It was more of a grayish purple if that makes any sense ^_^. It's still a gorgeous color though and I still see myself using it.

It looks like the turquoise and purple has some kind of shimmer to them. But they are completely matte on the skin.

Makeup Looks using Wet n Wild I Heart Matte eyeshadow palette.

See my Peacock Inspired Halloween Makeup I didn't use any color base to make enhance the colors.

Smoky Brown Eyes which is my favorite look at the moment. It's just so sexy haha!

Overall Thoughts:
I highly recommend this palette, and I think everyone should own one in their makeup collection. It's very rare that you will come across a shadow palette that consist of great neutral and bright colors that you can actually create a complete eye look. It's user friendly and great for beginners because all the colors you need are in one palette. It's really the best $4.99 you'll ever spend.

Just keep in mind that some of the colors are a repeat of other WnW palettes like the matte white, beige, warm peach, brown and black.
