FOTN: I'm Getting Sunburned

No, I'm not! But "I'm Getting Sunburned" eyeshadow trio by Wet n Wild is what I used to create this gold and brown smoky look. At first glance, I wasn't sure if I could use it to make a complete eye look. The colors tells you where to place the colors, but I thought the pink, brown and gold looked like an odd combination. However, once I had it on, it actually works and it's pretty.

It looks dramatic, since I added a lot of brown on the crease and made it smoky. But you can tone it down to make it wearable for day time.

I hope you like it.

Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow trio in "I'm Getting Sunburned"

I used the colors as suggested in the palette:
- Pink on the brow bone and inner corner for highlight
- Bronzy Brown on the crease, outer corner and lower lash line
-Rusty Gold on the lids

All the colors very pigmented, smooth and easy to apply and blend. Just be careful with the brown color. It's too soft and will give you a lot of fallout. My advice is make sure you don't dip your brush too hard and tap off the excess. A little goes a long away.

I chose a natural nude lip color to compliment the dramatic eye makeup. I used Wet n Wild Mega Last lipstick in Bare It All. See it HERE in my Kim Kardashian Look. It's a gorgeous natural nude color. It's one of my favorite lipsticks!

I wore this look when I went to Kiko's family for Rosca De Reyes, a Mexican tradition which commemorates the arrival of the Three Kings or Wise Men when Jesus was born. We shared a big Rosca bread, and I showed his sister in law how to make my delicious Chicken Adobo and Steamed Rice. Super fun!

Vianney and I cooked this delicious Chicken Adobo, a Filipino dish. It has chicken thighs, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaf, vinegar, potatoes and hard boiled eggs. It's so simple and easy to make. It's actually different from how my mom makes it, but it's still very delicious. Can you smell it?

Our Rosca bread. They got it from local Mexican Bakery. It's so colorful and pretty!

There are 3 baby Jesus hidden inside the bread and consider yourself lucky if you find one because you're supposed to throw a party or something like that ^_^. Sorry, I'm not exactly sure about the history. But it's fun!

  10. The palette combination looks odd, but you made a great eye make-up with it Becky :D I love it!

In Spain we eat Rosca de Reyes too, I like it a lot, but here we have a bean and a treasure in it. The one who gets the bean will have to pay the Rosca for the next year, and the one who gets the treasure will have a great year and will hold the king´s crown on it´s head.

I hope you feel better soon Becky, throat pains are so bad :(

  21. I love the colors on this trio. I have it, but I think I've only used it once or twice. I like how you can either wear the colors for day or night. Your look is beautiful as always. It goes very well with the pinky nude lip color you have on. :)

I remember celebrating Rosca De Reyes back in TJ. So cool how they put these little Baby Jesus figures in the cake. My piece had one. The Rosca cake you guys have looks tasty and colorful. The adobo with eggs dish looks so yummy. My first time seeing eggs over adobo. Must try that. :)
