Red Carpet Makeup Look Photos

As promised, here are the photos from my L'Oreal Next Beauty Guru contest entry. I did a "Red Carpet" look. What is your Red Carpet Look? To me, it's having a flawless and defined face, striking eyes and natural nude lips. It's a look that is beautiful and never goes out of style.

I'm not gonna go into too much details on how I did the makeup because I have a video tutorial that you can watch at the end of this post. But I do want to share some of the products I used.

My favorite way to apply liquid foundation to get that flawless face, very similar to an airbrush effect is using either a beauty blender sponge or a stippling brush. A stippling brush, also known as duo fiber or skunk brush is a multipurpose brush that can be used to apply foundation, powder and blush and etc. It has thin synthetic bristles that can be used with wet or dry products. Dip it lightly in liquid foundation and stipple all over the face, like your poking it. It will leave tiny dots, so stipple until they become invisible.

For smoky eyes, don't limit your self with black eye shadow. Smoky eyes is a technique and not a color. You can use any dark or even bright eye shadow you prefer and call it smoky eyes. Just make sure you blend well up to the crease to achieve a gradient, smoky effect that is essential in smoky eyes. Here I used, L'Oreal HIP duo in Playful. Rusty bronzy brown eye shadow all over the lids and peachy orange on the crease as a blender color. I also added a hint of gold eye shadow on the center for a nice highlight. And go crazy withe a good volumizing mascara. I really love L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara. It makes my lashes super thick and long. No need for false lashes!

I finished the look with L'Oreal lipstick in Pink Tranquilo. It smells horrible, like an old drawer, but the color is soooo pretty!!!! Gahhhh. It's one of my favorite lipstick. It's a nude mauve pink color that simply enhances my lips and compliments the smoky eyes very well.

I fixed my hair, wore a nice pair of earrings and a shiny metallic top to make the look more Red Carpet-ish. Looks pretty good to me! ^_^.

So that is my Red Carpet makeup look. Let me know what you guys think!
