Sigma Synthetic Face Kabuki brushes

It's weird how makeup brushes are my obsession, but I hardly ever blog about them O_o. That really needs to change. I have all kinds of awesome makeup brushes in my collection that are I really need to share. These Sigma Synthetic Face Kit are one of them. I've actually had these for a loooong time stored in my drawer and I just started using them 2 weeks ago. I know, I suck! But I've washed them, gave it a lot of love and they are now one of my favorites.

What I like:
-The hair is made with synthetic bristles that are super soft and doesn't prick the face.
-It's easy to clean. I just use shampoo and water to wash them.
-Doesn't shed. I've washed them twice and so far, I haven't experienced any shedding
-All of them works best applying cream and liquid foundations. It really buffs in the makeup and gives the face a flawless coverage.
-The brushes came with it's individual brush guards, which I didn't show the photo. I put it on when I'm not using the brushes. It helps retain their shape and make them look new and fresh again!
-The handles feels sturdy. I've only used them for 2 weeks though. Let's see how they will last in the future.
-The price is reasonable.

What I don't like:
- These brushes are advertised as great for wet and dry products. However, I just don't like using them with dry products such as powder blush and bronzer and face powder. The bristles are too densely packed and tends to pick up too much product and it's difficult to blend with a light hand like one should with dry products. It just doesn't work for me.

  1. Now I'm craving to buy more Sigma brushes. I really like their synthetic ones. So easy to use. I could definitely use one of these for liquid foundation. :)

  2. I won those a few months ago from a youtube contest. Those were my first Sigma brushes and I really like them. You're right the density of the bristles picks up a lot but I actually like them for dry products. Especially for mineral powder where I need lots of blending. Probably because of the humidity where I live so I actually need a brush that picks up a lot of powder. Always love your reviews.

  3. ahh my favorite brushes ever!!! im obsessed!

  4. i love my Sigma F80. I argree with you I don't like this for try products. It really does wonders with liquid foundation though, I love the easy application.

  5. i've heard so much good about those! Guess i gotta get me some!

  6. agree on your points!! it tends to eat up a lot especially on dry products. I once tried it with a mineral loose powder and I ended up looking like a oompa lumpa >_< But it works super great with liquid foundation! ^_^~
