The Body Shop Paddle Hairbrush Review

This is the first time I'm reviewing a hairbrush. It's one of the most important thing I use for grooming everyday but I never bother to talk about it on my blog until now. I recently purchased The Body Shop Paddle Hairbrush. It's replacing an old, now deceased paddle brush from Salon Selectives that I've had for 3 years. It  finally gave up on me last week. The rubber pad that holds the bristles came off when I was brushing my hair. My cheap butt tried to glue it back on, but it didn't work. It was time for a new one!

The Body Shop Paddle Hairbrush $12

The Body Shop claims, "Detangle and transform medium to long hair into a sleek mane or add a smooth finish to curly locks." (taken from

The handle is made with natural bamboo. It feels very sturdy and solid, it fits nicely into my hands and the bristles are round tip pins that are nicely intact with the rubber pad. I wiggled and tugged it a couple of times and it's not going anywhere.

I have long and thick hair and it detangles my hair very well, making my hair smooth and shiny. The round tip pin on the bristles are really nice too. It feels therapeutic on the my head. I've only had it for a week so I'm not sure how long it will last me. But from the feel and look of it, I have a feeling it's going to last a very long time!

It retails for $12 and you can purchase it The Body Shop. It's a great brush for a reasonable price.

Overall, I really like this brush. It's even better than my old one. It detangles my hair and it feels really good on my scalp. It also comes in a mini travel sized brush, which I'm going to purchase for my purse ^_^.

Have you tried The Body Shop Paddle Hairbrush before?

  1. I'm in need of a new brush too. I just can't let it go.. But this looks like it will work.

  2. I'll have to look into this. I need a new brush but usually just use a comb.

    1. I use a wide tooth comb and now this :) You'll like it!

  3. Nice! :) I like paddle brushes a lot too. This one looks particularly nice! I use a cheapie one from Walmart that cost $.79 for over 3 years. I know, I'm ghetto! LOL

  5. I think it would be great for my long, stubborn hair!:))
