Glossybox July 2012. Senna Cosmetics, Sebastian, Alessandro International, Figs & Rouge

Happy Friday everyone!!! Yay for another weekend. Even though I'm working this weekend, I'm still excited because my brother in law to be is having his birthday!!! Kiko and I are going to take him and his family out for dinner this Sunday ^_^. Anyway, here is my July Glossybox. I know, I'm a whole month late. But I promise this post is worth the wait.

Like what I've said before, Glossybox is the most luxurious and fancy monthly subscription service I've ever tried. It's also the most expensive. For $21, you get 5 high-end deluxe beauty samples in a gorgeous box and packaging. $21 seems like a lot, but they always include 1-2 full size products that's worth more than the fee. Click HERE to learn more.

The theme for this month is "Summer Nights".

Product List

It come with a mini Glossy Mag filled with beauty tips and tricks and makeup looks perfect for the Summer.

A sample of Alessandro International Pedix Feet Heel Rescue Balm. This stuff is amazing!!! I never told you, but I have rough feet and this was able to make them super soft after a couple of use. It also has a hint of peppermint that is really nice.

A sample of Sebastian Color Ignite Muti Tone shampoo and conditioner. A shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. I wasn't able to try it, so I can't say much about them. They promised to moisturize and make your hair color more vibrant. Have you tried it before?

Full size sample of Figs & Rouge Lips, Face & Body Balm. It's 100% pure, natural and petroleum free that is great to use on the lips, face and body. I've only used it on my lips and hands and it's pretty awesome. It's non greasy and soaks into the skin fairly quickly. It's nourishing and conditioning and did a great job in preventing my lips from drying.

Full size sample of Senna Cosmetics Mineral Eyes Shadow Trio in Medallion. I was so excited to see this in the box. I've heard about Senna Cosmetics, but I've never tried anything from them until now. The trio consist of warm neutral shades that compliments each other. They apply soft and smooth and very easy to blend.

EXTRA: BLUSHED fragrance by Ruddy Water. I've tried fragrance roll on and fragrance balm before, but never a fragrance towelette. I like how it's not soaking wet in the perfume and it smells pretty nice like sweet lemony vanilla.

Overall, I'm very pleased with all the products in the box. The 2 full size products included are worth more than the box!

FaceOfTheDay: DIY Blue Liner using Wet n Wild Color Icon Eye Shadow in Lagoon

Hey guys, I hope you are having a great week! I want to share my "Face Of The Day" I did a few days ago. I did a really quick and easy blue eye liner look with pink lips using Wet n Wild cosmetics. The cool thing about this look is I made my own blue eye liner using my favorite Wet n Wild Color Icon eye shadow in Lagoon. Read on...

You will need:
  • a blue eye shadow. I highly recommend Wet n Wild Color Icon eye shadow single in Lagoon. It's a gorgeous medium shimmery blue.
  • an angled eye liner brush. Use a brush with firm bristles because it will pick up more product.
  • water. Water is magic! It will intensify any eye shadow and make it more vibrant.

Directions:
  • Take your angled liner brush and dip in a little bit of water. Make sure you don't soak your brush.
  • Using your damp brush, dip it into the eye shadow. I recommend dipping on the corner or side of the eye shadow.
  • Apply on your upper lash line or lower lash line. You may have to layer a few times but one layer is enough to make the color show.

Wast that easy or what?

Swatch on my arm

Oh and in case you are wondering, I'm wearing Wet n Wild Mega Last lipstick in Pinkerbell on my lips. It's the perfect pink to match with the blue eye liner. You can see my review and swatches HERE.

I hope you try out this trick and let me know you it turns out.
Thanks for stopping by!

Birchbox August 2012: Beauty School!

How exciting is this month's Birchbox!!! Have you gotten yours? Birchbox is a monthly subscription service where you pay $10 and you get 4-5 high-end deluxe beauty samples right to your door step. This month's theme is Beauty School. Included is a "Beauty Supply Kit" that will help you get ready on your first day of school as well as get you through the fall. Heck, even if you're not going to school, I'm sure you'll appreciate all the samples just as well.

I love the yellow box that reminds me of a school bus. Isn't it cute?

They also included a mini Beauty School booklet filled with helpful beauty tips and tricks!

Here are the samples...

How thoughtful of Birchbox to include this awesome full size razor. Every girl needs a good razor and this one is amazing! I've tried it before. It 's gentle on the skin and leaves my legs very smooth and silky. Schick Hyrdo Silk is fairly new in the market and cost a little less than$10, so it's almost worth this month's Birchbox.

It also includes coupons in the back worth $4.55!!!

A sample of Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur perfume. I'm not a big perfume person like what I always say, but this perfume smells really good. It's has sweet fruity scent that I really like.

A sample of Per-fekt Beauty Lash Perfection Gel mascara. I've never heard of this mascara before. It's supposed to prime, condition and enhance your lashes all at the same time. I have to give this a try!

A sample of DDF Brightening Cleanser. Another facial cleanser I won't be able to try. I currently use a face wash that works for me, so I don't want to try other products. It's supposed to brighten the skin and even out the skin tone.

2samples of Caldrea Hand Soap in Basil Blue Sage. It lathers up nicely and cleanses my hands but I'm not liking the smell. It smells like basil and sage just like the name says. The scent is quite strong and it stays on the hands for awhile :(

Overall, I'm very pleased with this month's Birchbox. The full size razor pretty much did it for me. It's a good razor and I will use it everyday!

Have you gotten your Birchbox yet?

Face4Less: Katy Perry Wide Awake Music Video Inspired Look featuring Wet n Wild Cosmetics

I love, love, love Katy Perry. I'm a big fan of her music and style. I was so excited when she came out with her new music video "Wide Awake". Have you seen it? She looks gorgeous and I love her 2 alter egos in the video. One dark and mysterious and one whimsical and fairytale-like. I like the dark one better, so that's why I decided to re-create it using drugstore makeup. It has a vampy look to it that I really like.

MyGlam August 2012: Circus by Andrea's Choice, s.a.l.t.y. cosmetics, Demeter and Eclos,

MyGlam once again came through this month with another awesome bag! Whew...I'm sure glad I forgot to unsubscribe or else I would have missed out. The theme this month is "Endless Summer".  MyGlam doesn't have any description or what so ever on how it relates into the samples but very pleased to see there's more makeup than skin care in the bag ^_^.

Product list

The bag is a bright neon orange plastic mesh bag. Isn't it cute?

Eclos Anti-Aging Cellular Activator face serum and Anti-Aging Regenerative cream. These are my least favorite in the bag. I currently have a skincare regimen that works well for me so I don't want to try anything else.

Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil in Dragon Fruit. I've never heard of this brand before, but I like how it comes in a roll on applicator. The scent is quite nice. It has a nice sweet fruity scent.

S.A.L.T.Y. cosmetics loose luxury mineral eye shadow in Glama-Zoid. I was pleased to see this sample in the bag. I've heard of this brand before. It's a fairly new cosmetics company founded by a a group of licensed Estheticians. All their products are made from high quality ingredient that are safe to use on the skin. Learn more about the brand HERE.

Circus by Andrea's Choice nail color in Spectacle. I've said it many times that I'm not a nail polish person. But how can I not love this super bright neon orange that screams Summer!!! It's bold and intense.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this month's MyGlam. I really hope they keep it up!
