"Old Age Makeup" for Halloween

...Or more like a last minute Halloween look lol. I went to a Fundraiser/Halloween event for work last night, and this was the look I came up with. I didn't wanna buy a costume because I'm cheap, so I had to be creative. I wish I had more time to do more detail work though. But I though it turned out so cool and hilarious, and everyone loved it.

You don't need to be a professional makeup artist to achieve this look. It's actually pretty easy.  You just have to do a little contouring and highlighting.

Here's how...

  • Wash your face and apply moisturizer.
  • Take a dark brown or brown eye liner and outline the wrinkles and lines on your face. The best way to find your wrinkles is to smile exaggeratedly. (laugh lines, under eye bags, wrinkles on the forehead, nose and mouth.) This step doesn't have to be perfect.
  • Blend the line with your finger so they can appear like shadows.
  • Out line the wrinkles one more time. No need to blend.
  • Take a light concealer (2 shade lighter thank your skin tone) and apply it between the lines and wrinkles you created and blend with a q-tip. This step is called highlighting. It will help make the wrinkles more natural.
  • Dust translucent powder all over the face to set it.
  • Style our hair in a bun and apply white concealer to create gray hairs.

LaLicious Vanilla Body Butter Review

La Licious Vanilla Body Butter is delicious!!! I got a small sample of this delectable body butter from my Pink Embrace Collection by Total Beauty. Pink Embrace is a limited edition collection dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness so make sure you check it out HERE and support it.

 photo IMG_0669_zps0570c04b.jpg

LaLicious says, "PARABEN FREE! This body cream is a Shea Butter base. Renowned for its therapeutic and healing properties, Shea Butter is the ideal moisturizing ingredient! Our whipped consistency allows for intense hydration without leaving your skin feeling greasy. Aloe is added to help heal dry, damaged skin. 7.3oz "(source: LaLicious.com)

What I really like about it is the whipped consistency and it's ability to moisturize for a long time. I'm so used to heavy and thick body butter and it's just nice to try light one which has the same moisture power. It's smooth, non sticky and was able to soak in my skin quickly. It also smells like vanilla cookies. So sweet and yummy!

What a full size container looks like.

Living Nature lipstick in Precious by Lorrain Downes (Breast Cancer Awareness)

I always like to support makeup products with a great cause. I recently had the opportunity to try Living Nature lipstick in Precious. It's a gorgeous nude pink lipstick made with the highest quality and certified natural ingredients. It glides on so smooth and buttery and moisturizing on the lips. It's so light weight that I sometimes forget it's a lipstick. It's absolutely a treat to my lips.

This lipstick was created by Living Nature's Beauty Ambassador and former Miss Universe, Lorraine Downes. $1 from every sale of the lipstick will go towards NZ Breast Cancer Network. And right now, for a limited time, Living Nature is giving away Buy One Get One Free lipstick in Precious.

The photo on the website is way off in my opinion. It's more darker in person.

The lipstick retails for $33.66. I know it's a lot of money, but in my opinion is worth every penny for the amazing quality. It's also for a good cause so it's a purchase you can feel good about.  Again, it's BOGO free for a limited time so that makes it $16.83 each. Get one for you and a loved one.

ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets Review/Photos

Even though Winter is almost here, my skin is still oily. Actually, I don't even know what's going on with my freakin' skin. I'm usually oily with dry patches. But now, I'm either extremely oily or dry. OMGaaah! It's annoying. That's why I still carry blotting sheets in my purse everyday just in case I need to take away the nasty oils on my face because I still need it.

 photo IMG_0762_zpsf4cd8a40.jpg

The one I'm currently using is the ELF or Eyes Lips Face Shine Erase Oil Blotting Sheets $1. It has green tea extract that claims to absorb oil, minimize the pores and texturize the skin. It does a great job in absorbing oil, but I don't know about the promise of minimizing the pores. I've been using it for 1 week now and I don't see any difference, and I don't think I ever will.. I still really like it though.

Tone Ocean Therapy Body Wash

 photo Capture45_zps4c5aaf17.png

Hey loves, I'm not sure if I like Sundays. I mean, it's still my day off, but I don't like the fact that it's the day before Monday, which means I gotta get back in the grind at work tomorrow ugh! Good thing I have this new body wash to help me relax. What I like to do after a long day at work is take a nice warm shower or bath and lather myself with a good body wash. Recently, I had the opportunity to try the new Tone Ocean Therapy body wash. It was sent by All You magazine. It has moisturizing minerals, deep sea extract and pearl essence. To me, it smells like Summer nights. It smells like the times when I used to go to the beach right when the sun is about to set with the cold breeze of air on my face that smells sweet and salty at the same time. It's so calming and relaxing.

Tone skin care says,
  • Tone® Ocean Therapy™ Body Wash is rich in vitamins and minerals
  • This skincare product is infused with a treasure trove of precious pearl  and sea kelp extracts, plus Vitamin E
  • Just a dollop creates a mineral-rich lather that leaves  your skin luxuriously soft and replenished
  • The unique ingredients in  Tone® Ocean Therapy™ Body Wash allow the luxury of a deep sea spa treatment every day
  • Produces a rich lather and rinses clean
  • Using Tone® body washes gives skin that fresh and clean feeling without leaving it dry or tight
  • The rich creamy lather makes Tone® a perfect body wash to use every day and is gentle enough for the whole family
  • The body washes clean well leaving skin healthy without requiring a lot of product to get a good lather
  • The high quality premium product is perfect for shaving

5 lucky people are going to their own Tone Ocean Therapy Body Wash. Thank you to All You magazine for making this giveaway possible! DAISO Beauty Haul

It's my first time at DAISO, and I'm in love. Everything was so cheap, a $1.50 cheap! It's like the 99cents store but better. I did a some research, and learned that DAISO is a popular discount store in Japan. Most of the stuff are cutesy, kawaii, girly random things from kitchen ware, bento, makeup, grocery, school supplies and ect. I felt so anxious in the store, I wanted to buy everything lol.

I did a pretty big haul, but I'm only going to show you the makeup and beauty related items.

 photo IMG_0170_zps75197577.jpg

 photo IMG_0171_zps245cbf1b.jpg

This Face Washing Brush is pretty awesome. It's meant to cleans the face, but I used it to wash my brushes and it worked amazing. Now I can wash all my brushes without my hand getting wrinkly and dry from the water.

 photo IMG_0177_zps38a3af9b.jpg

Hair Turban and BB Face Mask. I don't know how well the mask works, I just really like the packaging lol.

 photo IMG_0179_zps69f5185a.jpg

False Eyelash Case and Eye Brow Pencil. It's a cute case to put my used falsies because I always lose them. The eye brow pencil is pretty interesting. For $1.50, it's a steal!

 photo IMG_0180_zps0c25dd78.jpg

How cute are these Floral Princess Chiffon Eye Shadow and Seductive Cheek and Hi-Light!!!
I don't really care if they work. I just like the super cute and girly packaging lol. I know, I'm a dork!

And that's my mim beauty haul from DAISO. What about you?

ELF Beauty Bundle #2 "Beauty Must Haves"

Hey loves! Happy Saturday. I'm here at home doing nothing, and I love it. Well, not really nothing, since I'm on my laptop, blogging lol. But I've had a long and stressful week at work, so it's nice to be home and just relax. I'm thinking of getting sushi, but I'm too lazy to move. Oh how I wish my favorite sushi spot deliver...

 photo IMG_0815_zps72b7c801.jpg
$19.00 + Shipping

Anyway, I'm here to show you my second Beauty Bundle from ELF or Eye Lips Face cosmetics. In case you didn't know, they have a subscription service where you pay $19 + Shipping every two months where you get their best selling ELF products in the mail. In my previous review on the first Beauty Bundle (find it HERE), I stated that I was going to unsubscribe. But my dumb butt forgot. Then next thing I knew, I received an email that my second Beauty Bundle was on it's way and that they already charged my credit card. Greeeat!

I was a bit bummed out. I could have spend that money on sushi. What if I end up with ELF makeup I already have? Well, luckily I didn't and to my surprise, I ended up liking most of the products in the bundle. So, I guess I'm not bummed out anymore lol.

I'm assuming the theme is for this month is "Beauty Must Haves" since the title is one 3 of the products in the bundle. I didn't get a thank you card with list of all the products like last time.
  • ELF Beauty Must Haves Brush Set ($10.00)- It consist of 6 face/eye brushes. They are quite rough. It's tolerable, but I choose not to. But the brush bag/case is awesome. It fits more than 6 brushes and it folds into a brush stand. Cool!
  • ELF Mineral Blush in Bliss ($5.00)- A gorgeous matte medium peach shade. It compliments my medium/tan skin tone very well.
  • ELF Shine Eraser Blotting Sheets ($1.00)- Soaks up oil on the face. It's great!
  • ELF Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick- I love the convinient application of a jumbo pencil. Don't be scared of the color because it's very sheer and wearable.
  • ELF Studio Correcting Palette- The different color cream shades are supposed to correct imperfections on the face.
  • ELF Moisturizing Stick ($6.00)- I love the idea of the moisturizing stick balm, but I don't find it very moisturizing. I used it on my hands, elbows and knees as suggested, but I didn't feel any dramatic difference.
  • ELF Studio Defining Mascara ($3.00)- A great everyday mascara. It definitely did a great job in defining and lengthening my lashes. It's also smudge proof and was able to stay on all day.
  • ELF Beauty Must Haves Shadow Book in Classic ($5.00)- I love the color selection of neutrals and brights. I can definitely see myself using all the eye shadows.
  • ELF Beauty Must Haves 4 Nail Polish Set ($.5.00)- Not a nail polish person, but the shades are fun and bright.

Overall, I like this month's Beauty Bundle. I definitely agree to the theme "Beauty Must Haves" because I see myself using most of the products. And the bundle is worth more than $19 (or $27) that I paid for. I will have a separate in depth review of each of the products.

As promised, here is the reveal of the Pink Embrace Collection by Total Beauty. Included are a variety of the season's best beauty products. A $55 value for only $24.99.

 photo IMG_0673_zpsda505d6a.jpg

Pink Embrace Collection

  • Living Nature- Precious Lipstick (Full size)- $33.50 - I love the box/packaging. It's filled with positive uplifting words and quotes from the creator. Reading each one made me smile. Precious is a gorgeous nude pink shade. It's a natural nude pink, so it compliments my medium/tan skin tone very well. It's glides so smooth and buttery on the lips and it's moisturizing too.
  • Dove-Go Sleeveless Deodorant (Full size)- $4.79 I've tried another kind of Dove deodorant from a previous collection and I liked it, so I knew I was going to like this one too. It's a great antiperspirant that's light-weight and smells nice too.
  • EVOLVh Shampoo (Travel size)- $7.00 It's for color treated hair so I decided to skip it. It smells good though and I learned from their website that EVOLVh is a luxury organic hair care with anti-aging benefits. Learn more about them HERE
  • EVOLVH Conditioner (Travel size)- $8.00
  • Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream (Sample) I was quite happy to see it in the collection. I've been hearing so many great things about it. An all purpose skin care cream, very popular in Japan. It can be used on the face, lips, body and even diaper rash. I tried it on my hands and lips and it felt good. Non greasy and very moisturizing. I just wished the sample was bigger though.
  • LaLicious Vanilla Body Butter- (Sample) Another small sample. I was able to use it for my entire body right after I got out of the shower, and I love it. It's the most lightest body butter I've ever tried. I'm so used to thicker body butters, and it was quite nice to try one that's light yet has the ability to moisturize the skin. I also like the scent. The vanilla cookie scent was delicious!
  • Primavera- Calming Moisture Cream (Sample) The small packet sample goes a long way. I only needed a tiny amount for my entire face. It felt very soothing and left my face shine free. See more of their line HERE.
