I was able to test a sample of the Too Faced Lip Insurance primer. I don't have much experience with lip primers other than applying concealer on my lips, which dries the heck out of them, so I didn't know what to expect. I also didn't think a lip primer was necessary to my already long makeup application. However, after testing it, I quickly changed my mind. This stuff is awesome. Claims are extreme in my opinion, but it's still a good product.

It looks like a lip gloss with the doe foot applicator. It feels creamy to the touch then dries to a powdery matte finish. I applied a little bit on my entire lips and blended it with my finger. I noticed right away that it filled in the natural lines of my lips making it smoother. I lined my lips with a lip liner then topped with a creamy lipstick.

Here's the before and after photos. This is after 6 hours of wear at a friend's BBQ party. I ate BBQ pork skewers, drank water from a bottle and patted my lips with a napkin. I did not do any touch ups. I didn't experience any color bleeding, but it did transfer on my water bottle and napkin, but as you can see on the photo, the pigment is still there. That's pretty impressive in my opinion.

It's a good makeup product to add in your makeup routine if you have the extra time. It's also best for special occasions where you know you're going to do a lot of eating and drinking. But if you don't have the time, then just skip it.
