Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario REVIEW/SWATCHES

It is here!!! It felt so good to finally have it in my hands! I ordered it on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website on the day of the release, September 29, 2016 after midnight. The website crashed a few times because everyone was ordering at the same time, but I kept refreshing over and over and didn't give up until I saw "YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN RECEIVED" with a confirmation number #perseverance, whew! The funny thing was when I woke up at 7am, it was still available on the website haha.

I'm a huge fan of Mario Dedivanovic, and have been following his work since his makeup blog in 2009. I've even met him in person which you can read about HERE. If you don't know who he is, Mario is a well known celebrity makeup artist in the world. He has done countless red carpet and editorial and is most well known for his work with Kim Kardashian.

On to the palette...

WHO: Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario

WHAT: A limited-edition eye shadow palette curated by celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic with Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Sephora says, "This palette features twelve neutral and jewel-toned shades in a range of matte to metallic finishes. The new rich, highly pigmented formula ensures bold color, while the included double-ended shadow brush provides easy application. The convenient mirrored compact slides easily into a bag for on-the-go application." source: Sephora.com

WHEN: It was released October 2016 as a limited-edition item.

WHERE: Available at Sephora.com, Macys.com and Ulta.com for $45

The palette includes 12 eye shadows (6 satins, 2 metallics, 1 velvet and 3 ultra mattes). I gotta say, it is love at first swatch. The formula is superb. The shadows are super soft, smooth and buttery to touch especially the mattes (Lula, Isabel and Violeta). They are so pigmented, easy to apply and blend on the eyes. Since the shadows are soft, there will be some fall outs, but that's normal.

I like the combination of colors. The jewel tones work with my medium to tan complexion. You can create countless of makeup looks. I noticed that a lot of the colors are beautiful on their own that you can just get away with using one color on the eye lids, blend the edges, apply liner and mascara and you're good to go! I just wished there is 1 matte highlighter color because I sometimes like to use a matte eye shadow to highlight the brow bone.

I guess my only dislike is the packaging. I like that it looks simple and sleek. I like that it has a mirror and a dual ended brush. But the cardboard palette is not very sturdy in my opinion. But other than that, for $45, it is an amazing product!

All names of the eye shadows are inspired by Mario's life.

Hollywood: Light gold with shimmers. It almost looks beige, but it's not.

NYC: Reddish-brown with a satin finish.

Kim: It's a brown nude color with gold shimmers and satin finish. Named after Kim Kardashian.

Muse: Copper brown with a mettalic sheen.

Marina: Light Peachy brown with a mettalic sheen.

Claudia: Dark grey with teal undertone and satin finish.

Lula: Light taupe with matte finish. Named after Mario's mother.

Isabel: Medium orange with matte finish. This is the perfect transition color.

Violeta: Brown with slight red undertone and matte finish. Great crease or all over the lids color.

5th Ave: Light yellow gold with metallic finish.

Bronx: Olive green with satin finish. Named after the city where Mario was born.

Paris: Bronzy brown with metallic finish.

Overall, I highly recommend this palette. The quality of the eye shadows are great, the colors are versatile and it's very affordable.
