I already love this product and to see it all blinged out with sparkly crystals is awesome! I have been using it for so many years and it has never failed me. I use it on top of foundation and tinted moisturizer as a setting powder or by itself dry or wet for a medium to build-able coverage foundation. It does a great job in smoothing and evening out my skin, it doesn't cling on to the dry patches of my face, it holds up pretty well through out the day and doesn't irritate my skin. I do have to blot my face after 3 hours which is normal for me because my skin oils up on the t-zone.

The 10th Anniversary Chisel Brush is a soft flat top brush. The bristles are super soft and slightly dense. It's able to pick up a lot of product and it does a great job in applying and blending the powder. I like to apply in circular motion for an even coverage of product. You can also use it with powder and cream blushes and other face powders and liquid foundations as well.

I usually use TAN, but I was sent LIGHT TANand it was pretty close to my skin tone. I can still make it work since it's going to be Winter and my skin will me lighter.

Seda Nuvali Hotel Food Review and Photos *PHILIPPINES

I blogged about how disappointed I was with the quality of Seda Nuvali hotel in the Philippines (read HERE). The lack of care and attention to details while charging expensive rates was a disappointment. However, I did praise their food. It's one of the good things they had to offer. It was delicious and the customer service was superb!

Our stay included complimentary breakfast (it can be excluded), which we took advantage of. We were on a tight schedule so it was convenient to come down for breakfast before we start our day instead of looking for a place to eat. We ate breakfast around 7am.

Before you enter the restaurant, staff checks your keycard for security purposes. The decor is nice and modern. It was a breakfast buffet. They had a decent variety of food to choose from American to traditional Filipino food. I really enjoyed all the Filipino dishes and desserts, while El Hubby (not Filipino) got his pancake and sausage fix. The quality of the food was great. Everything we had were freshly cooked. Nothing taste old or stale. Customer service was also great. Staff checked on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed.

Corned Beef

Chicken Adobo
Classic adobo flavor. Just like how my mom would make it.

Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo
It didn't taste like American/Italian Alfredo, but it was really good nonetheless.

Sauteed Vegetables

White Fish Filet
Perfectly cooked!

Scrambled Eggs
They were so light and fluffy. Yum!

Fresh Fruit Juices
The guava juice was delish!

My plate. I got a lil bit of everything and went back for seconds. I made sure to had fruits and veggies. So good!

 photo IMG_5390_zpsvmgbsndt.jpg

I love PUR cosmetics first Love Your Selfie palette so I was excited when I heard PUR was coming out with a 2nd version. Love Your Selfie 2 came with 8 eye shadows (3 Mattes and 5 shimmers), 1 highlighter powder (peach toned), 1 face powder and 1 bronzer, travel sized mascara, 1 lip pencil and 1 travel sized lip gloss. I was pleased to see the combination of colors. You get neutrals and a few dark shimmery colors for a night time look. The palette retails for $42 . I think it's a fair price considering all the makeup you get.

I noticed the eye shadows are soft, silky to touch and quite creamy. It has that luxurious feel to it. They are easy to blend and very pigmented. My only complaint was the darker shimmery eye shadows are a bit powdery when you dip your brush in it, so try not to dip your brush too hard and I recommend applying with a patting motion rather than sweeping to prevent too much fallout. Also, I liked how the shimmery eye shadows aren't too shimmery and doesn't have chunks of glitter, but still look beautiful on the lids.

Headshot- Matte vanilla color. Love this! Great for highlighting the brow bone or an all over color on the eye lids.
Statuesque- Soft taupe color. It's the perfect color to blend the edge of your eyes shadows on the crease for that nice transition.
Panorama- Shimmery bronze color. Apply all over the lids, blend and you're done!
Abstract- Shimmery taupe color. It's great as an all over color.
Pose- Matte beige with pink undertone.
Sketch- Shimmery rusty burgundy color.
Megapixel- Shimmery brownish gold color.
Paparazi- Shimmery dark olive green color. It's so pretty on it's own and perfect for a smoky eye.

 photo IMG_5398_zpsux9cpdlf.jpg

Overexposed- translucent baking powder. I haven't used it so I can't say how well it works.
Photogenic- Rose gold highlighter. It's pretty and works well with my medium-tan skin tone.
Composition- matte bronzer. It has a slight sheen to it when applied on the skin but it's not too visible so it can work for contouring the face. (I also use it on the crease of my eye as a transition color)

Lipgloss in Silhouette and Vetvet Matte Lip Pencil in Focal Point are both medium berry color which suits all skin tones. The formula of the lip products are pigmented, non-drying, non-sticky and long-lasting. The Fully Charged mascara is a volumizing mascara. It's not waterproof, but it was able to stay on my lashes all day.

Love Your Selfie VS Love Your Selfie 2
 photo f39af664-80d3-4bfb-a8d6-11115cf81f3f_zpsu4nyxkju.jpg

Love Your Selfie 2 is slightly bigger in size because it includes a travel sized mascara. It has the same number and amount of eye shadows and face powders.

Overall, it's a great makeup palette. Great quality eyeshadows, face powders, mascara and lip products. It's worth the $42.

SEDA Nuvali Hotel in the Philippines REVIEW

Hate to say it, but it is. Seda hotel is a beautiful aesthetically, but once you pay attention to the details you will see how much the company cut corners to save money. I'm not against saving money, but don't charge expensive rates if the quality of the hotel is crap. (moldy bathrooms, bad paint jobs and etc...) In my opinion, it is dishonest and irresponsible.

Let me just do a list of the good and bad

What I LIKE:
  • Check in process was very quick. The front desk agent was friendly.
  • Customer service was superb!!! Staff always had a smile on their faces and were ready to help.
  • Food at the breakfast buffet was delicious. Loved the variety of Filipino and American breakfast. They taste fresh too.
  • Modern decor with a touch of "Filipino style".
  • Room decor was modern. I like the neutral colors. It was inviting and relaxing.
  • Room service was quick.
  • Location was great. They are near shopping centers and restaurants.

What I did NOT LIKE:
  • The staff in front that greets you and carry your bags need more training. 2 staff members were having trouble loading our bags and boxes on the cart by putting light items on the bottom and heavy boxes on top. El Hubby fixed it and the staff followed his league. Manager even saw and apologized.
  • MOLDS in the bathroom. There were molds in our bathroom corner floor and the walls. Molds happen when there is no proper ventilation.
  • Bad paint job. You can see it on the walls in the hall way, our room and the bathroom.
  • Paint splatter on the glass wall in the bathroom.
  • The bed covers felt damp. Again, it was probably poor ventilation in the room (not sure).

I was shocked when we were told the hotel was only 2 years old with the condition it was in. Can you imagine what's it going to look like in 5 years?

Check out the photos below of the good and the bad...

The lobby is beautiful and they have 3 desktop computers for guest to use.

Our room. I really like the modern decor.

MOLDS!!! Yikes!

 photo IMG_2539_zpswinguwqo.jpg

What the heck? This to me, shows that the hotel doesn't care.

Bad paint job, yikes! Again, the hotel doesn't care.

 photo IMG_2535_zpsrtfcitbm.jpg

Where is the pride, Seda? I don't think you care and that's my opinion. You are charging almost 5,000+ PHP a night (tax included) which is expensive and the quality of your hotel is poor. Your guests deserve so much better than this and "wag nyo silang isahan". Again, it is dishonest and irresponsible.
