There are a lot of liquid lipsticks in the market right now and Wet n Wild beauty is catching up. The brand recently released a NEW line of matte liquid lipsticks that are already creating a buzz all lover social media. They have a great variety of colors and are super affordable.

Who else is excited for this?

WHEN: This product was released in Walgreens drugstores and online at the end of 2016 and is a permanent collection.

WHERE: It is a Walgreens exclusive. You can also place an order online
I was able to buy 11 of the shades at my local Walgreens, but I ordered Rebel Rose and Goth Topic online because they were sold out at 6 Walgreens that I went to.

I've been testing these liquid lipsticks for 2 weeks now and I have say that I am very impressed. For $4.99, they are pretty amazing. The formula is super thin yet creamy and glides on the lips smoothly. It's extremely pigmented and is full coverage, you only need one layer for top and bottom lip and you're good to go. It dries quickly to a matte finish and is very long lasting. Even with eating and drinking, the color holds up well.

The packaging very much reminds me of Jeffreestar cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks. It also has the same doe foot "J" shaped applicator too that gives a precise application. It contains 0.21 g which is a lot and is more than most liquid lipsticks in the market. They are comfortable on the lips, but has a slight tackiness when you press your lips together.

Now let's talk about what I don't like about the product. I don't like how it settles into the fine lines of my lips making them look dry. I know it's common for matte liquid lipsticks to do that, but I feel like it emphasizes my fine lines more. I find it dries out my lips after 2 hours of wear. To solve this problem, I apply thin layer of clear lip balm on top and rub my lips lightly together and they are fresh again.

Swatches of the Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Matte Lipsticks on my medium/tan skin tone

From Top to Bottom
  • Nudie Patootie
  • Nudist Peach (applied patchy)
  • Coral Corruption
  • Pink Really Hard
  • Rebel Rose

I used the Kirkland Costco brand makeup wipes to remove the swatches on my arm. It stained my skin, which only shows you the lipsticks won't budge.

For the price, these lipsticks are awesome and worth a try. I recommend the shades Rebel Rose, Give  Me Mocha, Missy and Fierce and Goth Topic for people with medium to tan skin tone like I do.
